Weekly Neurodivergent/gifted Parents Support Group

Join Our New Neurodivergent Parenting Support Group: Sundays 10-11am PST via zoom

Designed for Parents who are Gifted, 2E, and Raising Gifted & 2E Children

Parenting is an adventure—especially for those of us navigating neurodivergence in ourselves and our kids. If you’re a highly sensitive, creative, intuitive parent who feels like you’re doing things differently from the mainstream, this space is for you.

Our group is kept as a small, supportive community (limited to 5-7 people) where like-minded parents gather to share, reflect, and connect. We meet weekly for one hour, and you can join for a monthly subscription of $25, with the first month free as a trial.

This space is designed to help you support your kids,  invest in yourself, and prioritize connection and collaboration with others who get it. The subscription model ensures consistent participation and helps build a strong, engaged community.

Facilitated by a Therapeutic Parent Coach

As a therapeutic parent coach, my background, training, and education naturally shapes how I facilitate this group. While we won’t focus on psycho-education or coaching, my experience will influence the way I provide emotional support and hold space for everyone. This means you’ll be in an environment where you can feel supported, seen, and heard.

Who This Group is For

• Parents who are unschooling, homeschooling, or curious about alternative education methods.

• Neuro-affirming families committed to supporting unmasked lifestyles (as safely as possible).

• Parents who feel like they’re living and parenting radically differently from societal norms and want to connect with others on this path.

• Those interested in the neuroscience and development of neurodivergent children.

• Parents looking for emotional support, validation, and collaboration with like-minded individuals.

• Passionate, innovative parents who are deeply invested in parenting their unique children.

What to Expect

• Interactive Sessions: Each session will include visuals and grounding practices designed specifically for neurodivergent folks. Expect humor, memes, and innovative grounding methods—not just traditional breathing exercises.

• Facilitated by a Neurodivergent Parent & Coach: As a neurodivergent parent and coach, I’ll lead the group in a way that feels natural for us—no “talking at” you.

• Safe and Inclusive Space: We welcome PDAers, different types of families (LGBTQI+ affirming), and parents who may not have all the answers but are willing to question traditional parenting methods.

• Meaningful Participation: Your participation matters! The group thrives on everyone’s involvement and input. The majority of the time will be open for everyone to share and discuss what is most important to them and needing validation and feedback. Plus so much mirroring!

Who This Group is Not For

• Parents looking for one-way emotional dumping.

• Those who are not open to acknowledging their own possible neurodivergences or internalized ableism.

• People seeking only resource sharing (Facebook groups are great for that).

• Parents who use authoritarian or coercive parenting methods.

• Those seeking a pathologizing or medical perspective on neurodivergence.

This space is about challenging social norms, finding community, and navigating parenting with radical compassion. We won’t support public shaming or cancel culture, but we will engage in thoughtful, supportive dialogue about our shared experiences.

Group format and day/time

Sundays 10am-11am PST via Zoom

Begin with casual greetings (expect to see a visual schedule in the beginning)

Meeting flow routine: I’ll quickly go over the visual schedule, then guide everyone through a brief 1-3 minute grounding practice, do a brief introduction of myself, then open the floor to the group where each person will have 5-7 minutes to share whatever they’d like help expressing and holding with the group (I will keep track of time and begin making rustling and coughing noises to indicate “times up”), and then the remaining time will be open for people to provide feedback/respond.

A quick note about “giftedness”:

Gifted curious welcome!

Labels can be helpful in connecting people with their people. This group does not require an IQ test results or diagnosis (for you or your child/children) and I have a holistic and qualitative understanding of giftedness. This isn’t about elitism, it’s about finding a space where you can feel safe enough to unmask in similar company and find the very necessary, and often times missing, mirroring. If you are unsure about your giftedness or are “gifted curious” you’re welcome to attend for a trial month to determine fit.
